Some pastors collected money to preach against Buhari - Oshiomole

OSHIOMOLE
Edo state Governor Adams Oshiomole alleges that some pastors have collected money to preach against APC Presidential candidate, Gen Buhari. Oshiomole made the allegation while receiving a PDP Chairmanship candidate and 2000 PDP members who defected to the APC yesterday March 9th.
"Some pastors after collecting money are now preaching that Buhari wants to convert the nation to Islam. When Buhari was Head of State with absolute power, did he convert Nigeria to Islam? Did he convert Dodan Barracks to Islam enclave? Are there not Christian Generals all over the place? The issue of this election is not about religion or tribe. It is about who has what it takes to repair our country. It is about who will give us light. If PDP couldn’t give us light in 16 years, shouldn’t we give it to someone else?

FAYOSE COMPARES HIS OLD MAMA TO GEN. BUHARI AT PDP'S GOVERNORS FORUM

Governor Fayose
Today Ayo Fayose took his madness a bit further by using his mother as an example of why Nigerians should not vote for an elderly person as candidate. Fayose's claim that his mother wears pampers is a new low just to make a political point.
In 1983 Chief Obafemi Awolowo contested for Presidency at age 74 and Nnamdi Azikwe at age 79 Can  bigot Ayo Fayose tell us if they both wore dipers? Fayose's fear of Buhari is more to do with Fayose facing justice for corruption than Buhari's age.

INEC MAY REPRINT BALLOT PAPERS

There are reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) may have to reprint  ballot papers for the forthcoming elections to accommodate a political party which was not listed among duly registered parties by the commission, National Mirror reports.
This follows the ruling of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja which  ordered INEC to include the Young Democratic Party (YDP) among duly registered  political parties.

Justice Ahmed Mohammed made the order in his judgment on the suit filed by the party, challenging its denial of registration by INEC.
Justice Mohammed said that The Young Democratic Party (YDP) was believed registered when INEC failed to inform the then political association‎ of its decision not to register it as a political party within 30 days of receiving its application, as required under Section 78 (4) of the Electoral Act, 2010‎.
INEC was said to have received the association’s application on April 1, 2014 but only notified the applicant of its decision not to register it on September 15, 2014. (National Mirror)

I AM NEUTRAL!, SOYINKA DECLARES

PROF. WOLE SOYINKA
Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, on Thursday dismissed claims that he had endorsed some politicians as his presidential and governorship candidates ahead of the February elections.
Soyinka, in a piece titled, ‘Identity Thieves and the 2015 Election Peace Accord,’ warned those spreading the rumour of his purported endorsement of candidates “to be less gullible, and avoid becoming cheap conduits for the deception industry.”
He said, “Let me thus seize the occasion of the Abuja accord to state categorically that I have never made a statement endorsing any presidential or governorship contestant. All such attributions are fabrications by faceless, often self-appointed agents of deception, and should be publicly pilloried.

Appeal Court declares Erastus Akingbola not guilty of N47.5billion theft charge

AKINGBOLA
According to a report by PM News, a Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos has quashed the 22-count charge brought against the former Managing Director of Intercontinental Bank Plc, Dr. Erastus Akingbola by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The EFCC had alleged that Akingbola stole N47.5 billion belonging to the bank. The report below...
Ruling on Akingbola’s application on jurisdiction, the court presided over by Justice Amina Augie held that the High Court of Lagos State presided over by Justice Lateef Lawal-Akapo lacked jurisdiction to entertain the suit filed against him by the commission
Justice Augie said it amounted to miscarriage of justice for the lower court to have dismissed Akingbola’s application challenging its jurisdiction on the matter.
“The appeal is meritorious and allowed,” she declared.
“I am convinced that the lower court refused to align itself with the decision of this court in Nwosu’s case,” she further held. CONTINUE READING..
